Well in Banff is more than just a yoga and wellness festival—we are a community-driven experience prioritizing local talent and resources first.
How We Select Presenters…
1
Local Talent Assessment
What practices, classes, modalities, are prominent in Banff?
Our Headliners are Locals.
2
Festival Positioning
What are our Festival’s themes and Goals? How does Banff/Canmore Talent align? What modalities and practices are we missing and what do we need to outsource?
3
Open Festival To Applications
After identifying need, we open up our festival to submissions.
Our Criteria
1. Expertise & Experience
Minimum 7 years of teaching experience in their discipline (exceptions may be made for exceptionally unique offerings).
Certifications or formal training in their field (e.g., Yoga Alliance, coaching credentials, wellness certifications).
Proven track record of leading workshops, retreats, or conferences.
2. Uniqueness & Alignment with Festival Vision
Sessions must align with Well in Banff’s focus on holistic well-being, blending movement, mindfulness, adventure, and community.
Preference for new, innovative, and experiential offerings over standard yoga classes.
Emphasis on multidisciplinary approaches (e.g., yoga + breathwork, movement + music, outdoor adventure + mindfulness).
3. Audience Engagement & Teaching Style
Ability to engage diverse participants beyond just yoga practitioners.
Preference for presenters who bring interactive, immersive, and experiential elements.
Strong communication skills and a charismatic stage presence.
4. Existing Audience & Marketing Contribution
Presenters should have an engaged following (social media, newsletter, community, or studio affiliation).
Must be willing to actively promote the festival via their channels.
Bonus points for those who can help cross-promote with brands or attract media attention.
5. Professionalism & Collaboration
Must be reliable, responsive, and willing to contribute to the festival’s energy and community.
Preference for presenters who see this as a collaborative opportunity, not just a transactional one.
Must be comfortable working within the festival’s ethos, schedule, and team dynamic.
6. Exclusivity of Offering
Sessions must be unique to Well in Banff and not identical to offerings available for sale elsewhere (e.g., regular studio classes, pre-recorded courses, or workshops that are publicly accessible).
Presenters must demonstrate how their workshop is curated specifically for the festival—whether through format, theme, experiential elements, or collaborative components.
Exceptions may be made for presenters who significantly adapt or expand their existing offerings to create a festival-exclusive experience.
We’re honored that Well in Banff is a sought-after festival for presenters. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we may not be able to respond to every submission. We truly appreciate your interest and the passion you bring to the wellness community.
