Blackberry Lime Coconut Smoothie
Sweet, plump & delicious dates transform tart ‘n tangy blackberries and lime into the dream team.
We’re on date kick. Mainly to feed our sweet tooth – in a healthier way.
Dates are super sweet dried fruits that are full of fibre and caramelly flavour. They contain loads of vitamins and minerals like calcium, iron and potassium, and even though they are sweet, your body absorbs the sugars slowly on account of all that fibre. Another fibre bonus: smooth movements down below – if ya know what I mean.
Medjool dates are great for sweetening up otherwise tart fruits and enhances their flavours big time.
Blackberries and lime are simply packed with low glycemic phytonutrients, including antioxidants to help optimize cellular function, but can be tart or sour. Team them up with dates and we have a winner.

½ cup blackberries
Lime flesh from half a lime
Lime juice from the other half
1 tsp lime zest
1 cup coconut milk
3 soft medjool dates
1 Tbsp hemp hearts
Filtered water to thin if needed
Blend until smooth and enjoy your date, with dates!
